Anker launches new cheaper Prime Charger (200W, 6 Ports, GaN)

The Anker Prime Charger (200W, 6 Ports, GaN) is now available in markets worldwide. The accessory arrived at the same time as the Prime Charger (250W, 6 Ports, GaNPrime), though this version is simpler and, therefore, cheaper.

Both versions have four USB-C and two USB-A ports. However, the 200W version has a lower maximum USB-C output of 100W rather than 140W, though the USB-A power is the same at 22.5W. The maximum power output of 200W is split in various ways depending on which ports are used (see images below). According to Anker, the accessory could charge two MacBook Pro 14s to 50% in 48 minutes. Plus, the MultiProtect and ActiveShield 3.0 check for issues like overheating. The product comes with a 5 ft (~1.5 m) AC power cord and a 24-month warranty, and measures 4.4 × 3.0 × 1.4 inches (~112 × 76 × 35 mm).

Other upgrades for the 250W model, which are not present on the 200W version, include a display showing real-time charging information and a dial allowing you to switch between charging modes. You can buy the Anker Prime Charger (200W, 6 Ports, GaN) for $79.99/£79.99/€79.99. By comparison, the Anker Prime Charger (250W, 6 Ports, GaNPrime) retails for $169.99/£169.99/€159.99.
