MagicX has not long started selling the XU Mini M, its alternative to the Anbernic RG28XX and Miyoo Mini A30 (curr. $49.99 on Amazon). Nonetheless, it seems that the company is already preparing to release a slew of new gaming handhelds, full details of which we have provided separately. The XU Mini M itself is not safe from a new release either, despite only being available since the tail end of last month.
Until now, MagicX has offered the XU Mini M in three colours, one of which with a translucent finish. However, RetroHandhelds has now revealed that the company intends to increase the device's translucent options to five. Pictured below, the website alleges that these new finishes will arrive under the banner 'Crystal Collections Edition' with a clear set of buttons, as well as white joysticks.
Moreover, these new variants are said to cost roughly $5 more than their regular counterparts, which should equate to approximately a $60 launch price. Ultimately, the Crystal Collections Edition should perform just as well as the existing XU Mini M, which MagicX furnishes with a Rockchip RK3562 chipset, 1 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, a 2,600 mAh battery and a 2.8-inch IPS display. Unfortunately, a release date remains unknown at this stage, although we would not be surprised if this occurred later this month.
