The CrowView Note from Elecrow is a new system that can be used as a notebook in tandem with various systems. For example, a mini PC or a compatible smartphone can be used as a notebook via the CrowView Note. The use of a Raspberry Pi is also possible.
The device is effectively a laptop without a processor, equipped with a 14-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080. The sRGB color space is said to be fully covered and a battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh is integrated. USB PD with a maximum output of 25 watts is supported.
As usual for a laptop, a keyboard is installed. Two USB-C ports are on board, as well as a 3.5-millimeter headphone port. A power supply unit is connected via an equally large round plug. USB-A ports are also on board for connecting mice or storage devices. Image output to another device is possible via the HDMI port. Lastly, a touchpad, speakers and a microphone are available.
The CrowView Note can be used, for example, when travelling. A compatible smartphone can then be used with the system as a replacement for a notebook, which could be useful for office applications. With an appropriate adapter, the Raspberry Pi 4 or Raspberry Pi 5 can then be connected without a cable.
The model is currently not yet available and will be financed as part of a crowdfunding campaign, with the price set at around $170.
