According to news from this site on August 9, storage company Quanhe yesterday launched the DDR5 MANTA XFinity memory kit that includes dual virtual light bars. This set supports AMD EXPO memory overclocking specifications, including the "Lost Ark" co-branded version and XFinity version.
Quanhe’s memory kit adopts a 2+2 combination, including 2 actual memory sticks equipped with DDR5 DRAM particles and 2 DRAM-free RGB virtual light strips.
Due to memory controller signals, motherboard wiring, etc., the overclocking capability of DDR5 memory in 1DPC (note from this site: 1 memory stick per channel) mode is far greater than that of 2DPC mode with 4 slots fully installed.
However, most M-ATX and larger mid-to-high-end motherboards are still equipped with 4 memory slots. Although the 1DPC insertion method can achieve higher frequencies, it will leave two memory slots vacant, which is slightly lacking in appearance. Quanhe DDR5 MANTA XFinity memory 2+2 set is available in 16GB×2 and 24GB×2 capacities, with a frequency of 5600~7200 MT/s, and is expected to be launched in mid-September 2024.
