The Forerunner 265 (curr. $449.99 on Amazon) is starting to new updates at a steady pace again, albeit primarily on Garmin's Beta Program. To recap, the company delivered Beta Version 20.15 at the back end of July with various new features, bug fixes and improvements from Software Version 19.18.
Now, it has begun rolling out Beta Version 20.21, which it claims has reached roughly 20% of Forerunner 265 smartwatches enrolled on its Beta Program. For reference, Garmin has created a dedicated support article for managing Beta Program participation, including how to leave if necessary. As for Beta Version 20.21, Garmin states that it has made the following changes:
As some Beta Program participants have noticed, Beta Version 20.21 contains the same changelog as last month's build. Unfortunately, Garmin has not shared any other details in this regard. However, we imagine that it may have something to do with undocumented bugs, which appeared to affect an equivalent build for the Forerunner 965.
