The Anker Prime Charger (100W, 3 Ports, GaN) has officially launched worldwide. The release of this new accessory was anticipated several days in advance after the device leaked in an image relating to an Anker USB-C cable.
The Prime Charger allows you to simultaneously charge three devices via its two USB-C and single USB-A ports. The combined maximum output is 100W, the same as the maximum power output for a single USB-C port. According to Anker, this would allow you to charge a MacBook Pro 14 (M3 Pro) to 50% in half an hour. The single USB-A output is capped at 22.5W, and, with all three ports in use, there is 65W power from the first USB-C, with the second USB-C and USB-A sharing 24W.
The charging plug has foldable pins, though the mechanism differs slightly by region (see image below). Plus, the company indicates that it has worked to reduce the risk of the charger falling out of the socket with a balanced design and thicker prongs. The accessory is compact at 1.7 x 1.1 x 2.7 inches (43.5 x 29 x 67.8 mm) and features ActiveShield 2.0 technology. You can now buy the Anker Prime Charger (100W, 3 Ports, GaN) for $84.99/£69.99/€79.99.
