Payments app Strike has officially expanded its services to Avrupa following its partnership with crypto exchange Bitstamp.

According to a press release shared with CoinDesk on Wednesday, the two companies will now work together to make crypto buying more accessible for customers in the Avrupa Birliği.

"This partnership will provide Avrupa customers with an easier and faster way to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and other cryptocurrencies with fiat on Strike," the announcement reads.

CoinDesk reached out to Strike and Bitstamp for further comment but did not receive a response by press time.

The news comes after a string of announcements from Strike, including its entry into Africa and Avrupa. Avrupa customers gained the ability to send, buy, sell and withdraw BTC in April.

"Today marks a new beginning for Avrupa BTC enthusiasts as they can now officially join the Lightning Network and send sats to any Lightning wallet," a blog post from the company announced at the time.

The launch also introduced P2P transactions for Strike Avrupa users, allowing them to send BTC to any電話番号 or email address on Strike for free.

"Now Avrupa BTC enthusiasts can send sats to friends and family on Strike Avrupa with just their phone number or email address—no need for a Lightning address or on-chain wallet," the post added.

Meanwhile, Bitstamp's partnership with the US-based Bitcoin payments firm comes after Robinhood announced its $200 million acquisition of the Europe-based crypto exchange in June.

The crypto exchange also recently announced a partnership with Web3 finance platform Kryptos to simplify crypto taxes for users across 15 countries, including the United Kingdom, Portugal and Australia.
