A TikTok user has shared three rare £2 coins to look out for in your change which could make you a tidy sum of money. According to the coin collector, one of the coins could be worth more than £1,000. The First World War £2 coin was launched in 2014 to mark 100 years since the outbreak of the war. The coin features an image of Lord Kitchener, who was a prominent war figure and appeared on government propaganda posters.

However, there was an error version of the coin which was missing the words £2 from the head side. This version of the coin is the one to look out for as it could be worth a four-figure sum. Posting on TikTok to his 172.1k followers, user @CoinCollectingWizard said: "Look out for these £2 coins. This coin launched to mark 100 years since the First World War. The error version is missing the words £2 from the head side.

"The 2014 coin was launched nine years ago to mark 100 years since the start of the First World War. It features an image of Lord Kitchener, a prominent war figure who appeared on government propaganda posters. Only the version with the missing wording is worth this kind of money around £1,000+."

He then described another coin which has a "rare fried egg" appearance. He claimed: "A design error on some of these £2 coins has left them looking like a runny fried egg as the middle has split out onto the outer rim. This is one you should definitely look out on all your coins."

And finally, a third coin from 2014 features an error on the front with the wrong inscription. According to him, this one could sell for around £30, if not slightly more. Since he shared the clip, it scooped 160 likes and dozens of comments.
