ASUS already offers various 14-inch laptops, including the Zenbook 14 OLED (curr. $1,079.99 on Amazon). Now, it has decided to introduce the Adol Book 14 Air, which looks like a typical 14-inch laptop on the face of it. However, an inconspicuous metal grille on its top cover hides a feature that is uncommon outside of smart home devices.
As the translated image below shows, ASUS has decided to integrate a fragrance dispenser that holds proprietary incense tablets. Developed with fragrance house Anna Sui, the incense tablets form part of a wider collaboration that extends to several other themed accessories. The Adol Book 14 Air is also comparatively powerful thanks to its AMD Ryzen 9 8945H APU, which currently sits atop AMD's Hawk Point-HS product stack.
Moreover, ASUS has equipped the laptop with a 75 Wh battery, various ports like USB 4 and a 16:10 OLED display that combines a 120 Hz refresh rate with a 2.8K resolution (2,880 x 1,800). For reference, this display also delivers up to 600 nits peak brightness while covering 100% and 133% of the DCI-P3 and sRGB colour spaces, respectively. As it stands, the Adol Book 14 Air is only available in China, where it sells for CNY 6,999 (~$969) with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.
