Android Headlines claims to have more received 'exclusive' information about the Pixel 9 series ahead of its release in a few week's time. For context, Google is anticipated to deliver the following Pixel 9 devices on August 13 during its next 'Made by Google' event, where it could also present the Google TV Streamer, Pixel Buds Pro 2 and the Pixel Watch 3 in two sizes:
According to Android Headlines, all but the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will start with 128 GB of storage. In other words, the Pixel 9 series will continue with Google's decision to offer 128 GB of storage as a starting point for all of its recent flagship releases, including the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro (curr. $749 on Amazon). Conversely, the website asserts that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will match its predecessor's 256 GB and 512 GB of storage configurations, although only the former will make its way to India.
Ultimately, while Xiaomi and a few other smartphone manufacturers may have moved onto offering 256 GB as a base storage configuration on its flagships, Apple and Samsung have not. Thus, given that Google is effectively harmonising its flagship Pixel offering with Apple's this year, it should come as no surprise to see the former matching the latter in other areas, too. Based on past rumours, the Pixel 9 series is expected to launch for the following prices in Europe:
Pixel 9
Pixel 9 Pro
Pixel 9 Pro XL
Pixel 9 Pro Fold
