Earlier this year, HiSense showed off its PX3-Pro triple laser ultra short throw projector which came with a bunch of high-end specs and a $3,500 price tag to match. The company has now announced a tweaked version tailor-made for gamers.
Dubbed as the HiSense PX3-Pro Designed for Xbox Limited Series, it can deliver content at up to 240 Hz and a 6 ms response time.It also comes with an 'auto low latency mode' that automatically kicks in whenever you start up a game. Even though it says 'designed for Xbox', you'll need a high-end gaming PC to actually use it at 240 Hz as neither the PlayStation 5 nor Xbox Series X|S can output content at that frame rate.
Other specs of the HiSense PX3 Pro Designed for Xbox Limited Series are the same as the regular PX3 Pro, such as a brightness of 3,000 ANSI Lumens, 4K video output for 80-150 inches of screen real estate, 50 Watt Harman Kardon speaker, a laser lamp rated for 2,500 hours of operation, 10-bit colour, 110% coverage of the BT.2020 color space, support for Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced, HDR10+ and integration with Google Assistant/Alexa.
Unfortunately, HiSense hasn't mentioned how much the HiSense PX3 Pro Designed for Xbox Limited Series will cost or when it goes on sale. Its name and specs suggest it could be costlier than its regular version and be sold in limited quantities.
