Recently, according to the latest announcement from the United States Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO), Apple has obtained a new patent focusing on user-customizable gesture technology for the Vision Pro headset. This technology allows users to achieve different interactive responses through pre-defined gestures. The patent document, which is 6,000 words long and accompanied by 48 design sketches, details how to recognize and assign a user's preset gestures to perform a specific task or function. In the patent, Apple introduces a new tool called Gesture Association Tool. The tool guides users in creating gestures for specific functions. For example, if a user performs a known but unused gesture, such as placing hands together, the system can automatically name it "Namaste."
