Binance Delists Internet Computer and Maverick Protocol, Announces Shiba Inu and Dogecoin Event

Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, announced on Wednesday that it will be delisting several spot trading pairs due to varying reasons.

As reported by Coingape, the crypto exchange has announced that it will be delisting Internet Computer and Maverick Protocol following the recent announcement of several major spot and margin crypto pairs in the exchange’s delisting and suspending strategy.

Interestingly, new reference rates and real-time indices for Internet Computer (ICP) and Ripple’s XRP were recently announced by CME and CF Benchmarks.

An announcement was made by Binance stating that the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) and the Maverick Protocol spot trading pairs against BNB and TUSD will be delisted. The crypto exchange will cease trading and delist the ICP/BNB and MAV/TUSD spot trading pairs on July 19 at 3:00 UTC.

The aforementioned spot trading pairs will also be delisted from Binance’s Spot Grid Trading Bots. The exchange noted that users should adjust or cancel their spot trading bots to avoid any losses once the services are disabled.

Binance regularly evaluates all listed spot trading pairs to ensure high-quality trading markets and user protection. If a pair is found to have poor liquidity, low trading volume, and other criteria, Binance may proceed to delist the pair.

TUSD Stablecoin

Binance has been gradually removing support for the TUSD stablecoin amid several concerns, and next week, the exchange will be delisting the BTC/TUSD and TUSD/USDT spot trading pairs, as reported by CoinGape.

However, the crypto exchange has taken steps to enhance user trading experiences and boost liquidity in the crypto market.

The exchange also announced a Shiba Inu and Dogecoin event, offering massive rewards for crypto traders. July 29th marks the last day of the Battle of The Meme Dogs.

Following the announcement, ICP’s price saw a slight decrease and is currently trading at $10.12. Internet Computer (ICP) price increased by 8% in the last day, with a trading volume low at $9.34 and a high of $10.29 for the last 24 hours. As investors are cashing out their gains, the trading volume has also decreased marginally.

According to Coinglass, open interest in ICP futures has increased by 4% over the last day.
