Facewear is a new gear option in Final Fantasy 14. It allows you to equip glasses and helmets at the same time. But, first you must find a pair.
The Arcadion is the latest raid series for Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail and is an open competition for glory, fame, and money. Players can collect armor tokens and trade them in for equipment of their liking. The Arcadion is significantly more challenging than any dungeon in Dawntrail, so players should prepare themselves by running other 100-level content like The Strayborough Deadwalk or Tender Valley, which will drop accessories and currency that can further improve their item level.
The Arcadion is a venue for the citizens of Solution Nine that resembles an arena or a sports stadium and may have been encountered by players while completing Dawntrail's MSQs; however, they would not have been able to access it, as they would have needed to get Soul Resources for Zoraal Ja's army. Once Zoraal Ja and Queen Sphene are beaten, The Arcadion opens up for the citizens to explore.
To start the Arcadion raids, players must fully complete the main story of Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail, including beating the final boss and viewing the ending of the expansion, which will open new hubs, merchants, and questlines. Players must then switch to a level 100 combat job and speak to the NPC Stylish Stranger in Solution Nine (X: 19, Y: 18.8). They will fully introduce themselves as Metem, the master of ceremonies for the Ascension Arcadion Championship (AAC), and begin the sidequest “A New Challenger Appears.” After several dialogue boxes and cutscenes, Metem will lead the player to the Greenroom zone and bring out some AAC members: Black Cat, Honey B Lovely, and Brute Bomber.
To fight in the AAC, players must have an average item level of 685. To be matched with random players via the Duty Finder, the composition is the standard two Tanks, two Healers, and four DPS. This make-up can be altered for full pre-made teams.
The Arcadion consists of four separate fights against contestants participating in the AAC. Similar to the Pandaemnium Raid from FF14: Endwalker, there are different types of rewards. Players can personally only acquire one “Holo” token piece per fight each week; the reset time is Tuesdays 04:00 Eastern, 0:1:00 Pacific. Players can still help friends and gain consolation prizes like Tomestones and music.
Once acquiring several “Holo” items, they can be spent on actual combat gear. Speak to the NPC Hhihwi at Solution Nine (X: 8.7, Y: 13.4) to view their wares list. To maximize weekly reward limits and item level, purchasing a body or leg armor for your main job in Final Fantasy 14 is best.
Tomestones of Heliometry are not yet available in Final Fantasy 14 but are set to release sometime in August 2024. They will drop from most level 100 instanced content like dungeons and raids. Based on previous expansions, players can gain 450 per week and hold 2,000.
