Pro Late Model standout Kleyn has been close to several marque events in the Pacific Northwest.

In 2023, he almost scored a $10,000 win in the “Apple Cup 125” at Tri-City Raceway RMEC. A last turn miscalculation found Kleyn spinning leader Jonathon Gomez, resulting in a ninth-place finish. He returned to the “Apple Cup” in 2024, finishing second to Northwest Legend Garrett Evans.

In the 2024 “Leonard Evans Memorial 150”, Kleyn looked to have the fastest car, but contact while leading sent him around and to the rear of the field. He drove through the field to the second position but ran out of time.

This weekend, Kleyn hopes to put the near misses behind him and pick up his fourth series victory in-a-row. It will be a tough task, with over 30 Super Late Models expected, but the “Fall Classic” Pro Late Model winner will certainly be in the mix around lap 200.

The “Montana 200” will be Round #6 of the 2024 NWSLMS schedule and will take place at the Mission Valley Super Oval, paying $10,000 to win.

Teams will check in on Thursday July 11th and will be treated to a barbeque at the Undem Cabin.

Friday will see Tech, Practice, Qualifying, and Qualifying Heats. The Hobby Stocks will also compete on Friday.

Saturday will find the series participating in Practice, a Last Chance Qualifying Race (as needed) and the 33rd Annual “Montana 200”. The Mini Stocks will join the NWSLMS on Saturday.

For those unable to attend the popular show, the race will be streamed LIVE on Racing America.
