The announcement was made by the conference organizers, ‘The Bitcoin Conference’, through an X (formerly Twitter) post, which stated,
“Former U.S. President Donald Trump has been confirmed as a keynote speaker at the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville, Tennessee.
The event, which is regarded as one of the largest Bitcoin conferences in the world, will take place from July 25 to July 27.
In related news, the House of Representatives has postponed their vote to override President Joe Biden’s veto on the SEC’s anti-crypto rule, SAB 121.
The vote, which was initially scheduled for July 10, will now take place on July 11 at approximately 10:30 AM.
The postponement came after President Biden sent a letter to the House, urging them to reconsider the vote. The contents of the letter have not been disclosed.
Representative Patrick McHenry, who is a vocal critic of the SEC’s rule, expressed frustration over the delay, saying,
“We should not be doing business this way.”
These contrasting actions by the two presidential candidates highlight the divide among crypto voters.
While Trump’s recent pro-crypto move aligns with his past statements of support, Biden continues to take a harsh stance towards cryptocurrency as the election approaches.
