Notcoin, the Telegram-based Web3 game, is collaborating with decentralized finance (DeFi) platform 1inch and Sequoia-backed attestation protocol Sign on a new startup accelerator for Telegram and TON’s crypto ecosystems.
The accelerator program, dubbed Triangle, will seek to onboard individuals interested in building on Telegram and TON. The project will prioritize support for initiatives aimed at enhancing TON user experience, developing popular “tap-to-earn” mini-applications and launching “consumer applications bridging Web2 and Web3.”
According to a press release shared with Blockworks, the initiative will onboard promising startups from Telegram and TON communities to receive mentorship from Bukov, Yan and other Web3 leaders.
“The vision behind Triangle is to seamlessly and user-friendly onboard millions of people to Web3. Telegram's extensive user base presents a unique opportunity to achieve this,” the press release noted.
The first batch of mentors will include 1inch co-founder Anton Bukov, Sign CEO Xin Yan, Berachain founder Smokey, Layer Zero lead Max Power and several individuals affiliated with the TON Foundation and Notcoin.
Notcoin is a Web3 "tap-to-earn" game that can be accessed through the Telegram messaging app. Earlier this year, the game garnered significant attention, amassing millions of players who received an airdrop upon the launch of the Notcoin token.
The Open Network, also known as TON, is a blockchain that utilizes technology initially developed in-house by the Russia-based Telegram company before a Securities and Exchange Commission lawsuit derailed the effort.
