On Friday, MultiversX announced that it has integrated with Safepal, a hardware and mobile cryptocurrency wallet with over 13 million users globally. The integration allows these users to directly access MultiversX from their SafePal wallets. In addition to the mobile wallets and hardware, a browser extension will also become available to users. The new integration leverages a cold storage technology that already secures over $20 billion in crypto assets to enable three levels of value exchange using EGLD. According to MultiversX Head of Business Development Daniel Serb in a blog post, the SafePal mobile app "creates a new on-the-go interface for users to interact with the MultiversX ecosystem." Serb added that EGLD "continues to see a growing range of use cases and the wallet browser extension will allow users to fully leverage the token’s capabilities." The news appeared to boost sentiment, although the EGLD token had lost 5,14% in the past 30 days. It has also struggled since hitting highs in November 2021. Currently, SafePal's services span over 100 blockchains in more than 200 countries. The platform offers crypto asset and NFT support, cross-chain swaps, trading and yield tools.
