Last week, the United States Mint launched the 2024 Silver Proof Set. The latest data from the U.S. Mint reveals its initial sales performance.
The United States Mint has unveiled the latest sales figures for its numismatic products, covering the period from June 24 to June 30. Among the best-selling products was the 2024 Silver Proof Set, which achieved 4-day opening sales of 143,765 units.
Released on June 27 for $130, the 10-coin proof set features seven coins struck in 99.9% fine silver, including the Kennedy half dollar, dime, nickel, quarter dollar, and five Jefferson nickels. The remaining three coins are struck in copper-nickel clad, namely the Roosevelt dime, Lincoln cent, and Washington quarter.
The set also marks the debut of the new designs for the dime, nickel, and quarter dollar, which were unveiled earlier this year as part of the American Women Quarters Program. These designs honor Patsy Takemoto Mink (dime), Dr. Mary Edwards Walker (nickel), and Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray (quarter dollar).
In addition to the proof set, the Mint also reported strong sales for the 2024-W Liberty & Britannia High Relief Gold Coin, which sold 11,333 units during the week. The coin is struck in 24-karat gold and features a high relief design of Lady Liberty on the obverse and Britannia on the reverse.
Other best-selling products included the 2024 American Eagle Proof Silver Coins, 2024 American Eagle Uncirculated Silver Coins, and 2024 Proof American Eagle Gold Coins. These coins are available in various denominations and finishes, offering collectors a wide range of options to choose from.
The Mint's full sales report includes figures for a total of 464 numismatic products, providing a comprehensive overview of the performance of its latest releases.
