To submit an obituary, please contact Reading Eagle by phone at 610-371-5018, by email at obituaries@readingeagle.com or by fax at 610-371-5193. Most obituaries posted on the Reading Eagle are submitted through funeral homes and cremation services. However, we do accept submissions from families. Obituaries can be emailed to obituaries@readingeagle.com. In addition to the obituary text, any photos you wish to include can be attached to this email. Please place the obituary text in a Word document, Google Docs, or in the body of an email. The Reading Eagle also requires a way to verify the death, so please provide the phone number of the funeral home or cremation service that handled the deceased's care or a photo of their death certificate. We also ask that you include your full name, phone number, and address in this email. All family payments must be made by credit card. We will send a sample of the obituary before requesting payment. However, obituaries cannot run until full payment is received. Obituary may be submitted at any future date but must be received by 3:00 PM the day before publication.
