Motorola has introduced the Razr 50, a cheaper alternative to the flagship-level Razr 50 Ultra. In short, the Razr 50 closely resembles the design of its Ultra-branded sibling, unlike last year with the Razr 40 (curr. $449.99 on Amazon) and the Razr 40 Ultra. Understandbly, Motorola distinguishes the Razr 50 from the more expensive Razr 50 Ultra in some areas, though.
For example, the Razr 50 features a smaller cover display. Nonetheless, the pOLED display still measures 3.6-inches across like the Galaxy Z Flip5 but outputs at 90 Hz with a 1,066 x 1,056-pixel native resoltuion. Similarly, while the Razr 50 has a 6.9-inch pOLED display like the Razr 50 Ultra, it combines its 1080p resolution and 3,000 nits peak brightness with a lower peak refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Additionally, Motorola equips the Razr 50 with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset, as well as a 4,200 mAh battery that supports 30 W wired and 15 W wireless charging. Moreover, the Razr 50 finds itself with 32 MP internal, 50 MP primary and 13 MP ultra-wide-angle cameras. Currently, the Razr 50 is exclusive to China, where it starts at CNY 3,699 (~$509) with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. With that being said, Motorola should present the device globally later today.
