To this day, Pocketpair remains one of the few indie developers who have cracked the formula for a monster hunter game with exceptional gameplay.

Palworld Sakurajima DLC Review: A Little Bit of Everything All at Once

The Palworld Sakurajima DLC adds a lot of new content to the game, including a new island, new Pals, new tower and raid bosses, and even PVP. There are also a slew of new items, such as the Ring of Freight, which increases your carrying capacity, and a mysterious accessories box, which allows you to equip one additional accessory to your player inventory. Different remedies can also be used to boost your stats.

Furthermore, the Sakurajima update introduces several new weapons, including Laser Rifles, Flamethrowers, Gatling Guns, Grenade Launchers, Guided Missile Launchers, Multi Guided Missile Launchers, and Meteor Launchers.

Many of these new additions make an adventurer's life easier. However, as a veteran, I find it lacking. Especially when I was able to complete the new boss in a matter of days with my old Pals and equipment. The only thing that truly excites me is the new Arena mode and how it will fare among the players. While the campaign had its fair share of new additions, there is still something lacking.

After playing the Palworld Sakurajima DLC for a few days, I can confidently state that there is a little something for everyone here to entice players back into a game that is now a shadow of its former self.
