Hisense releases new E8N Ultra Mini LED TV with presence sensor

Hisense has launched the E8N Ultra Mini LED TV in China. The new 4K model follows the E8N Pro introduced earlier this year. The E8N Ultra is available in two sizes, 75-inch and 85-inch, with a 144Hz refresh rate.

The 75-inch E8N Ultra has 4,000 backlight partitions, while the 85-inch model has 5,376 partitions and a peak brightness of 5,800 nits. The product listing also suggests that the TV covers 90% of the BT.2020 and 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamuts with reduced glare from the Obsidian Screen Pro. A mmWave radar sensor can detect your presence, automatically pausing video if you leave the room, notifying you if it thinks you are too close to the screen and intelligently adjusting the brightness and volume based on your distance from the TV. Other features include gaming settings customized for the PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch and 2.1.2 channel speakers with support for Dolby and DTS technologies.

You can connect gadgets via various ports such as HDMI 2.0 (4K@60Hz), USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and Ethernet. The Hisense E8N Ultra Mini LED TV in 75-inch and 85-inch sizes retails in China for 12,999 and 16,999 yuan ($1,790 and $2,340), respectively. It is unclear whether or when Hisense will launch a version of the E8N Ultra for other markets like the US, where it already sells models like the 75-inch 2024 U8N Mini-LED ULED 4K Google TV.
