Half-centuries from 17-year-old James Gilman, skipper Joe Chaplin and Marcus Mangiameli ensured leaders Mochdre set an uncatchable score
Mochdre remain top of the pile in the North Wales Cricket League Premier Division after notching up an eighth straight win.
The leaders set an unassailable 267-7 off 50 overs at Pendre, James Gilman hitting 58, skipper Joe Chaplin 55 and opener Marcus Mangiameli 51.
Llandudno, who had enjoyed a good week with a first league win last Saturday and a Welsh Cup victory over St Asaph on Thursday, slipped back to the bottom of the table after a 14-1 battering by their local rivals.
Batting first, Mochdre lost opener Gilman Salt early on, but Gilman and Chaplin put on 65 for the second wicket.
Chaplin was then joined by Mangiameli and the pair put on 102 for the fourth wicket, Chaplin hitting 55 off 56 balls, including six fours and a six, before he was bowled by Jamie Grimshaw.
Mangiameli was next to go for 51, bowled by Divya Pratap Singh, who also dismissed Salt and Gilman later in the innings.
Grimshaw and Singh both finished with 2-43, while Kai Page took 1-50 for Tudno.
The visitors were bowled out for 172 in response, skipper Matthew Lambe and Sam Rimmington both making 35 apiece, while Page added 32.
Matty Humphreys was Mochdre’s leading bowler with 4-37 off 10, Mangiameli claimed 2-33 and Owen Davies 2-39.
Eight games, eight wins, 109 points out of a possible 120 – Michdre are looking like an unstoppable force so far this season.
