The Algorand (ALGO) Foundation has announced the winners of its Change the Game hackathon after a two-month period of creation and collaboration.
According to the Algorand Foundation, innovators from around the world joined forces to transform groundbreaking ideas into tangible prototypes and proofs of concept.
"As Head of Startup Programs, I'm thrilled about the innovative solutions and talent showcased in our second global virtual hackathon," said Johanna Moran, Algorand Foundation’s Head of Developer Outreach & Programs. "We’re also excited to announce the establishment of an Incubator Program to provide these promising ideas with resources, mentorship, and network access for their successful transition into the next phase of development. Our goal is to nurture these visionary projects into successful ventures."
The Change the Game hackathon offered significant prizes, with the winner of each track receiving 8,000 USDCa, second place 5,000 USDCa, and third place 3,000 USDCa. Additionally, the Grandmaster Prize includes an additional 10,000 USDCa and 25,000 AWS credits. Special prizes of 2,000 USDCa were awarded for the best AI project and the best women-led team.
The grand finale of the Change the Game hackathon, the Grandmaster Demo Day, is set for June 27. Winners from each track will be invited to Decipher, a 2-day retreat in Barcelona that will feature workshops, master classes, and opportunities to advance their business. Here, they will pitch their groundbreaking projects to an esteemed panel of judges.
