One UI 7.0 could be delayed due to One UI 6.1.1\'s AI-powered features

Samsung's next major software, the Android 15-based One UI 7.0, could arrive later than its predecessor. Prolific leaker Ice Universe says Samsung is focusing on its next iterative upgrade, One UI 6.1.1, which will apparently bring forth a ton of new AI-powered features. We could see them debut alongside the Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6 and maybe even the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE at Galaxy Unpacked.

Ice Universe has also teased an interesting new One UI 6.1.1 feature. This one will be exclusive to Galaxy S24 Ultra users as it involves an S Pen. It will supposedly let you harness the power of AI to bring your drawings to life, similar to what Apple lets you do with iPadOS 18. In an earlier post, Ice Universe showed off how it works. Essentially, it creates a photo-realistic image of a doodle, potentially opening up a new realm of possibilities for Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Tab S10 users.

One UI data miner Tarun Vats spotted what could be the first test build of One UI 6.1.1 for the Samsung Galaxy S24. Its build number is S928BXXU2AXF3 and it will launch for Indian Galaxy S24 (curr. $849 on Amazon) user sometime in August. Given Samsung's excellent track record, One UI 6.1.1 should ideally trickle down to the Galaxy S23 trio, the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 later in the year.
