HMD Skyline: Classic Nokia Lumia lookalike to challenge Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G at launch

Plenty has been said about HMD's next mid-range smartphone in recent weeks. This time, the HMD Skyline has stopped by Geekbench, confirming its chipset in the process. As expected, HMD Global has equipped the HMD Skyline with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, a chipset that Qualcomm announced late last year.

For reference, theSnapdragon 7s Gen 2has eight CPU cores split evenly into ARM Cortex-A55 and Cortex-A78 clusters. Additionally, the chipset features an Adreno 710 GPU and performed well during our recent Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G (curr. $294.99 on Amazon) review. However, theSnapdragon 7s Gen 2is only marginally more powerful than the older Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.

At any rate, Geekbench also outlines that HMD Global has equipped the HMD Skyline with 8 GB of RAM. Based on recent leaks, HMD Global intends to sell this variant for €459. Alternatively, the HMD Skyline will be available with 12 GB of RAM for €499. Both RAM variants are expected to land with 256 GB of storage, though. Currently, HMD Skyline is rumoured to officially arrive early next month.
