Nikon Z6 III teaser touts tiny form factor with powerful internals for June 17 announcement

We recently reported on leaks about the upcoming Z6 III full-frame camera coming around June 11 with a host of performance and feature upgrades, including improved autofocus performance, better in-body image stabilisation, and faster burst rates. If a new Nikon teaser is anything to go by, though, it looks like the Z6 III will launch on June 17, instead, although there is reason to believe that the aforementioned spec bumps might be more accurate.

Nikon's teaser, titled Ready to Perform?, on YouTube (video embedded below) features a handful of photographers using the upcoming full-frame camera, with subsequent quotes to call out the camera's strong points.

"I could capture even before I pressed the shutter. It's a game changer.""In a bright situation, if I can see better, I can create better.""All the beautiful colors in a camera this small is something really exciting."

Among those snippets, the first seemingly calls out Nikon's Pre-Release Capture, while the reference to a bright situation might allude to a brighter rear display or EVF. The third quote confirms that the Z6 III will at least roughly stick to its predecessor's relatively compact size, sticking to the trend of small-body full-frame cameras Panasonic recently pandered to with the Lumix S9 launch.

The performance updates seemingly confirm that the Nikon Z6 III will feature the updated dual Expeed 7 processors from the company's flagship Z8 and Z9 cameras.

Whether the rest of the leaked specs, like internal ProRes RAW recording, 6K NRAW, and updated IBIS materialise is yet to be seen. Fortunately, we won't have to wait too long, as Nikon will make its announcement on June 17 at 8 AM ET (12 PM GMT) on its YouTube channel.

The Nikon Z6 II is still available on Amazon for $1,596.95.
