Recently, the zkSync airdrop incident has been a hot topic in the encryption community, and many users have accused zkSync of being a proxy Coin distribution is concentrated and witches get too many tokens. (Related reading: zkSync is deeply trapped in the "rat warehouse" question: only 10% of the addresses are eligible for air investment, and some witch addresses received millions of ZK tokens)
Crypto KOL CC2 Ventures issued an article on how zkSync "saved" zkSync Airdrops are explained to achieve a more “decent” distribution.
The following is the full text of the content.
One is to remove projects that have not been deployed on zkSync from the 17.5% "Airdrop" share. Once the "ecosystem incentives" take effect, they get a share. Second, the number of initial airdrops increased by 3.5%.
These two steps set the initial share allocated to "users" at 20.3% (not 21%, as some zkSync native projects take 0.7%, which is reasonable)
will comply The maximum airdrop limit for conditions is set at 85,000 (currently the maximum is 100,000). For these addresses, the reduction is minimal, but enough to be reallocated to ineligible addresses for maximum decentralization.
All addresses can be scanned using Arbitrum’s anti-witch list and third-party platforms such as Nansen. This will free up another 0.5% - 0.7% of the supply, if not more.
Generally speaking, the initial standards for ZK airdrops are relatively reasonable. LPers, time-weighted asset holders, Memecoin traders and holders are all rewarded handsomely, but don’t cut them any further. An additional 6% is now available (the author did not calculate the actual number, only extrapolated from this tweet).
Approximately 6% of the supply is reallocated (possibly as high as 8%), worth approximately $592 million. It depends on how many wallets cut 15,000 + the number of Sybils filtered.
After extensive sybil filtering, 300,000 additional addresses were approved. Each new address that has not yet qualified will receive approximately 1973 ZK tokens. Some have more, some have less. A points system similar to Arbitrum is now used for the 300,000 previously ineligible addresses:
Design a good points system for these indicators. If it seems It's so ridiculous, maybe add some small bonuses and level it up. Tweak the percentage and points system until it "makes sense" and use 1 million addresses as a baseline at the end.
Some people may be dissatisfied because zkSync has 8 million addresses, and although not everyone can get the airdrop (survival of the fittest), the initial circulating supply is now more decentralized.
The author reiterates that the data for all the above steps have not been calculated in detail, so it may be very inaccurate. But the situation is certainly salvageable if some of the above steps are applied.
