By entering the mid-to-low-end market and launching products priced as low as $15, Xiaomi surpassed Samsung in one fell swoop and became the second largest manufacturer in the world. Its market share reached 8%, a year-on-year increase of 61%.
Another Chinese brand Huawei ranked fourth, with a market share of 5%, a year-on-year increase of 71%.
