Canalys releases Q1 global TWS key market manufacturer rankings, Xiaomi surpasses Samsung to become second

Canalys report shows that in the first quarter of 2024, the global true wireless earphones (TWS) market showed a steady growth trend, with shipments reaching 65 million, a year-on-year increase of 6%. Although Apple's market share has gradually decreased, with shipments falling 8% year-on-year, it still ranks first with 16 million shipments, with a market share of 24%.

This shows that Apple still has strong competitiveness and brand influence in the TWS market. With its outstanding performance, Xiaomi surpassed Samsung for the first time and jumped to second place, with shipments reaching 5.5 million, a year-on-year increase of 61%. Xiaomi's rapid growth in the TWS market is expected to further narrow the gap with Apple.

Samsung ranked third, with shipments reaching 5.2 million. Although Samsung's growth rate is relatively slow, its influence in the global market cannot be underestimated. As the only Indian manufacturer to break into the top five, boAt remained in fourth place, achieving 7% growth and shipping 2.9 million units.

The demand for TWS products in the Indian market is still increasing, and boAt is expected to further expand its market share in the future. Huawei successfully rushed to fifth place, with shipments reaching 2.2 million units, by increasing its investment in strategic deployment of entry-level products and launching open-back headphones.
