Counterpoint analysis said that due to the decrease in shipments in the entry-level market (less than US$200), the market share of OPPO and Samsung declined year-on-year. The mid-range segment ($200-$399) grew 37% year-on-year in Q1 2024 to reach a 27% share, with this growth driven by Xiaomi, Samsung, and Vivo. In addition, Indonesia’s 5G smartphone shipments increased 77% year-on-year in the quarter, accounting for 29% of total smartphone shipments.
