MySQL位于美国加州,以提供免费软件为主,靠附带产品以及技术支持赢利。该公司推出的产品深受Web 2.0创业者的厚爱。截至目前,全球社交网站中有十分之七的网站都采用MySQL的数据库,其中包括为人熟知的Digg、Facebook、Feedburner以及YouTube。
Neil Rimer没有透露MySQL上市的具体时间。有可靠消息称,MySQL上市的时间应该在08年。
