但以客户关系管理（CRM）软件著称的Siebel，可能不是唯一受害者。分析师指出，oracle本身负责CRM的员工，也可能被取代。
oracle公司计划在9日举行分析师会议，讨论两家公司的整合途径与事业展望。
UBS分析师Heather Bellini在研究报告中预言，这起58.5亿美元的交易，可能导致员工总数4,686人的Siebel裁员60％。但前提是，此交易能在未来12个月内，让oracle的每股获利增加2至3美分。
其他分析师，包括WR Hambrecht的Robert Stimson和Sanford Berstein的Charles Di Bona，也预测裁员。
Di Bona说：“oracle在宣布这件交易时曾表示，希望减少一、两亿美元成本。我认为这将由两家公司一起分担，但oracle承受较大部份的压力。”
Di Bona指出，oracle曾暗示将以Siebel的技术为CRM产品的核心，因此，oracle的业务和营销团队可能受害最深。Siebel的行政人员，如财务和人资部门，也将面临最重的裁减。
Stimson则在研究报告中预测，oracle将针对Siebel的行政与后勤办公人员，“立刻执行一轮裁员”。

根据Siebel向美国证券交易委员会（SEC）提报的信息，该公司上个会计年度的前九个月，一般性与行政开支达7,600万美元，业务与营销成本为2.709亿美元，产品开发的作业支出达2.119亿美元。
Stimson不只预测Siebel部分裁员，oracle去年稍早买进的仁科（PeopleSoft）和J.D. Edwards也难逃类似的命运。
他写道：“我们已经听说仁科和J.D. Edwards的员工人数将进一步减少，时间可能在（oracle）开始执行其Fusion长期策略时。”
Fusion是oracle的下一代企业应用套装软件，意在用新开发的技术，融合其之前收购的所有科技，成为一套整合性的产品。oracle拒绝评论裁员传闻。
