mail函数的返回值仅仅是告诉你,这封邮件是否成功加入了系统邮件服务的队列,因为它实际上是调用系统服务来发送的(比如sendmail,postfix等等),至于你的系统服务最终由没有把这个邮件成功投递到目标地址则不在它的考虑范围内。
